No doubt inadvertently, the NYT actually published some factual information today. In the Opinion section, the op-ed by Adam Kinzinger was accompanied by the now-iconic photo of rioters clambering up into the Capitol. Although Kinzinger claims the goal of the rioters “was to subvert America’s democratic process” [sic, heh, heh] and describes the riot as an insurrection, the photo show that two of the three climbers appear to be taking selfies, not the usual behavior from citizens trying to overthrow the government! The op-ed was titled, “Jan. 6 Questions I Want Answered,” but as Glenn Greenwald has pointed out, one question Kinzinger does not want answered is “What role did the FBI play in instigating the riot?”
