Rotating Villains

It’s Manchin’s fault. It’s Sinema’s fault. Or so the legislatively feckless Democratic Party would have us believe. The reason, of course, is to deflect any opinions that the entire Democratic party — both parties — are useless at addressing the people’s needs and wants. There will always be someone to play that role to pull the wool over the eyes of a propagandized public. Numerous recent polls clearly indicate that a great majority of Americans favor Medicare’s negotiating lower drug prices. A clear majority would also like Medicare for all, especially during a health emergency.

Ask yourself why the voice of the people has a rag stuffed into its mouth. Today, it’s Manchin and Sinema, the villains who won’t vote with party leadership, favoring their corporate donors instead. Previously, we had Democrats like Mike Dukakis and Joe Lieberman. sinema will retire to a cushy ridiculously compensated gig with some corporate fools who’ll use her as a spokeswoman. Or an emblem. Manchin will just continue to suck profits from Big Coal as the planet continues to scream. But don’t worry. The dems have a system of rotating Villains designed to allow them to bluster forth excuses for their ineptness. Next up: Accepting New-villain applications from the numerous corrupt lemmings floating withing that cesspool of a supposed political party.
